A "must buy" part when doing GM 3.1/3.4 intake gaskets!
I bought these push rods for my 2004 Chevrolet Impala 3.4 LA1 engine. The reason I bought them for is because I was replacing my stock intake manifold gaskets that were leaking at 200,00 miles. I'm surprised they lasted that long, but perhaps they were leaking before then, but there was no immediate, grave danger conditon of having coolant mixed with the oil that gives me the need to do it right away. So anyway I replaced both my intake manifold gaskets with the new Fel-Pro metal gaskets and since doing that job requires me to remove the push rods, i decided, why not replace them while I'm ahead? My original pushrods are still fine, but since these new push rods are inexpensive, might as well do it! I installed in their correct places, torqued the rocker arms to specs (14 lb-ft + 30 degrees) and man does my car feels new! It even eliminated that light rocker arm play where it ticks while giving it a light throttle acceleration. So if ANYONE is doing an intake manifold gasket replacement for all GM 3.1 and 3.4 engine, a complete push rod replacement is highly recommended!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
