Rain-X Bug Remover 32 Deg. F Windshield Washer Fluid, 1 Gallon

This product works well. It cleans the window well and leaves a rain repellant. The repellant only works for s short time but you can wash the windshield and its right back. This product is worth the money. I found this product to leave no film or staining on the vehicle or the trim.

Okay, so with no summer windshield wash in stock, I took the plunge with this despite bad feelings. It's GREEN! Filling up the reservoir with a bit of spillage took several minutes of exposure to the smell which I found to be rather strong. First wipe: it cleaned as well as other washer fluid and it did not get the crusty white streak of some bug from a week before. I didn't find it exceptional and wondered what all the fuss was about. Then I asked if I would regret the purchase and AA guy said it's better. Better how I should have asked. But it's GREEN. I have a hood emblem on my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee which this stuff leaves a very noticeable dark spotting on. On the sides near the doors and rear of the car body(by rear washer) the film is rather noticebale enough to where I'm concerned it could do damage to the paint finish. I'm VERY worried about the decal being eroded in the time I have this stuff in the reservoir. I will keep researching, but the print was too small for me to read any cautions. I presume it is safe for the car finish, but not the decal which is a sort of vinyl. As to the reviewer who mentioned that his wiper blades deteriorated....I immediately noticed the blades "catch" more. Either it's extra dirt or just drag, but either way they already changed how they strike over the windshield. Also thought there was a distinct difference in the way the clarity of the windshield was, more blurry, as if the film used to keep rain off also blurs the glass. Lastly, after wiping down headlights on my motorcycle and the face shiled of my helmet without incident, I quickly swiped them over the plastic lenses on a pair of DKNY rose colored glasses. The next time I picked them up, the insides of the lenses are all shrivled up as if the plastic reacted with the chemicals of the washer fluid. Bummer!
