I deal only with Advance auto for my Trailblazer parts. The quality I've found to be excellant, dependability, unsurpassed. The local guys at the Tarentum Bridge store are knowledgable and are a great help when I have any questions. They also put me on to a fantastic repair garage in our area that can readily do expert work when it's above my skill level. I also have used the loaner tools to install the serpentine belt I recently purchased from them. I would be at a great loss without my "Advance Guys"

Purolator oil filters were made in the USA as of a couple of years ago but that may have changed. I bought this filter thinking Purolator probably has concern for the American people and created a product for Americans by Americans. After purchasing the filter I looked at the bottom and you guessed it. Made in China. I took the filter back and bought the cheaper Chinese filter but in the future I'll find something made in at least Mexico or Canada where somewhere in the neighborhood of 80% of our raw goods go get manufactured into finished goods and return. So it's like they buy from us and we buy from them. Consider it, It's kind of (read Extremely) important!

        • Q:

Can you re-use this like the K&N filters?
How many miles before you change it?
          Asked on 3/13/2010 by Anonymous

          2 answers

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

No, this can not be re-used like the K&N filters. A specific mileage can not really be put on when to change out the air filter due to the different driving conditions that people have. A good rule is to check the air filter at every oil change and when you notice dirt piling up on the filter, it is a good idea to change it out.

Answered on 3/16/2010 by Mike from AAP
          • A:

Under normal driving conditions this filter should be changed once a year. If you do alot of driving in dusty areas it must be changed more frequently.
