Once I trouble shot the starting problem on my daughters Honda Civic I rushed back to the house....it was cold outside. Seriously, her car would not start one evening after she got off work and who does she call...her mother...which she knew would wake me up and send me on the mission to get her car started and both back home safely. I quickly determined the starter had given up and needed to be replaced and took note of what needed to be removed to access the starter. After arriving home I signed in to my Advance Auto online account, ordered the stater, and filter in a few short minutes. Advance has the most advanced site and has become my "go to" place for purchasing car parts. I have my cars as well as friends and family autos loaded so I can order whenever and wherever. Ordering what I needed only took a few minutes and I went ahead and gathered the needed tools, relaxed and went back to bed knowing that in the morning my parts would be waiting at my Advanced Auto store. The next morning I swung by my store on the way to replace the parts on my daughter's car and had everything I needed to do the job. Both items were replaced and the car is now running fine.

Bought the filter online and picked up at the store. It was really easy and I saved a few bucks. Installing the filter is also simple, take off the top half of the airbox and pop it in. The one thing you want to be careful about is making sure that the rubber gasket lines with the bolt holes on the sides and in the middle. Also the filter tends to lift up a little bit, so it helps if you hold it in place while putting the top of the air box back on. Oh, and don't over tighten the bolts on the air box, they are embedded in plastic and can strip out rather easily.

Another really easy fix you can do on your car. There is no reason not to, if you are thinking about doing it. Way cheaper than having the oil change guys do it.
