Check Vehicle Fit

PurolatorONE Cabin Air Filters prevent airborne contaminants like allergens, pollen, dust mites, dirt and soot from entering the passenger compartment of your vehicle. The cabin air filter also aids in defroster performance and helps to improve overall driving comfort by encouraging better airflow through the vehicle. Replacing a cabin air filter every 12 months or 12,000 miles improves air quality in the vehicles cabin and helps to protect the A/C system. PurolatorONE Cabin Air Filters are available in particulate and carbon configurations, covering most vehicles on the road today. Refer to owners manual for recommended maintenance schedules.

Comments about Purolator Cabin Air Filter:

This was a perfect fit on my 2000 Chevy Tahoe LT 5.3L V8 4WD. The cabin air filter is located under the glove box. To remove the cover in this area can be tricky -- one of the screws for this cover is very difficult to remove, but can be done. Once this main cover is off, it's only one screw and one clip to remove the cover for the cabin air filter housing. Note that two identical filters fit in this area (side by side), so you get two filters in one box with this purchase.

Hi Dave, glad to help you! To get more specific information on the location of this part I would recommend purchasing a Chilton or Haynes Repair Manual for your vehicle, not only will it show the location and also explain how to install, but you'll find it handy for many more projects on your vehicle. The exact repair manual part number for your vehicle is 24066.

              • Q:

If the 2000 GMC Sierra truck has two cabin filters (black boxes between cab and bed) how do you access these filters to replace?
                Asked on 12/21/2013 by BT

                1 answer

                • CUSTOMER CARE

                  A:

Hi BT! That's a great question., I could be of help. The cabin air filters on a 2000 GMC Sierra can be found in the heater box above the lower panel, which is mounted below the glove box. Drop the plastic panel and three 7-mm screws, then you will see a black access panel, with one screw holding it up. The two filters are located there. If you want to change the cabin air filter, use a 7-mm socket. Remove the four screws holding the under-dash cover from under the glove box. Two of these are recessed and hard to see but if you run your fingers along the underside of the cover you will find them.

The two rectangular boxes that are outside the cab under the back window between the cab and the bed on your 2002 Chevy 2500HD are the cabin air filters. This Purolator Rectangular Cabin Air Filter - part# C15388 is an exact fit for your 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD. • A:

This is incorrect. The black boxes on the back of the cab keep the cab from being sealed completely. The cabin air filters are located in the heater box under the dash. You will need a 7/32" socket to remove the screw to access them.
