Works as designed. Some RTV sealants tend to leak even within short periods of time. I used this the same day I received it and it doesn't leak.

Long Wait!
Make sure to read the instructions on things like this, I use Right Stuff and other gasket makers semi often, this one says to wait an hour and then tighten and then wait 24hours before adding fluid, who has time for that!!

Best Sealant for Synthetic Gear Oil

Best sealant to use with synthetic gear oil, enough sealant in tube to seal 3 Ford 8.8 rear ends. Use in place of felpro gasket. Best to use wire brush to clean differential cover and housing of old material, then brake kleen to remove oil residue before using Permatex

Works well but it is very thick and a bit difficult to squeeze out of tube. i hated it took 24 hours before i could fill the diff. Also had to wait an hour to torque. Should have read before purchasing
