This container includes an applicator brush built into the lid. I use this on every brake job to insure calipers function smoothly and the brake pads are able to glide in and out evenly. I've noticed my brake pads always wear evenly and equally, front to back and side to side, with no grinding or squeaking.
Clean all the brake parts & pieces, pins, boots, etc, then use this during reassembly anywhere that the parts are sliding, gliding or rubbing to make sure nothing binds up or sticks, and to prevent parts rusting in place (like guide pins/bolts). It frustrates me when someone volunteers to replace a friend's front brake pads, then the friend comes to me 2 months later because brakes are pulling to one side or squeaking and I find out Mr volunteer didn't use brake cleaner, or brake lube, or stop-squeak - just took the old pads out and put the new ones in. So use this stuff and do the job right the first time.
Also, this container holds the equivalent of about 50 of the little packets that are sold at the counter. Doing the math shows a 90% savings.

Used these on brake pins good. This little 8 oz can will go a long way for the price. Better than.5oz tube for half price of can.

    • Q:

      HI,

I am planning on doing this for brake pads & rotors replacement.

Can I use this for lubricating caliper pins? Also if I use, would it affect the rubber bushings that cover the caliper pin? Can this cause it to enlarge or crack it?

This lube is specifically made for caliper pins. It will keep the rubber grommets and boots from cracking. I have used this lube for years and it has always worked well. Make sure to lube the slots where the pads slide as well. Also get yourself some brake cleaner to clean the rotors beforehand as well.

Yes you can use it on caliper pins. It is made for all disc brake parts. Have used it many times on my vehicles and never had issues of any kind.

This is the best stuff to lube the caliper pins. It resist high heat and will Not damage the rubber boot. Good luck

I'm glad to be of assistance! You may use this to reduce brake noise as well. Like you have stated you would want to make sure it's on the back side of the pads facing the caliper. This is also a great way to keep your caliper piston lubricated as well.
