Decent tool
I used this puller to remove the pitman arm on my 1992 Chevy G20. It barely fit over the steering gear but I managed to tap it into place with a light hammer. It is a fairly heavy piece and it was surprising to see all these reviews where the arms flared out. I used a 19mm box wrench and slowly worked the arm off with a little help from pb blaster. Had no problems

Piece of junk
It broke when only applying force by hand attempting to remove the pitman arm on my Jeep. I'm actually glad I didn't even try to use an impact gun or anything powered. It probably would have broke with more force or something! And YES, I soaked the pitman arm with PB Blaster repeatedly for 2 days before even trying to remove it. Total waste of time and money!

Straight garbage
First time i tightened it down the arms bent out and spread ever so slighty to where it no longer grabbed on. HF is 1/4 the price and better quality honestly. Its actually crazy how bad this thing is as my first one i got broke an arm completely off using a manual ratchet!!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
Returned - incorrect size
Opening size is only 1 3/16" not 1 5/16" as advertised Bought the first one - 1 3/16" too small Checked another in store also 1 3/16" Ended up renting one instead
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
Did the job
I was hesitant on buying this based on reviews but it worked! A bigger job than what it was intended for, a class A motorhome
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
Tried many things, this worked the best
I have tried many other items to remove steering ball joints. This works the best and super quick.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
