I bought this as a starting battery for my boat. Unfortunately, it went bad just after the warranty expired. Optimas are hit or miss. I have a deep cycle Optima on my boat that is from 2010! For the price, a little more consistency is expected. I would buy a cheaper battery if it fit on my boat, but I can't find one that is as small as the Optimas

Used this battery as a direct replacement for a dying battery in my 2005 GMC Canyon. I've only had it installed for a month now, but it's made plenty of difference so for, most notably in how fast it turns over my engine on 0* mornings. I don't think I'm ever going back to a normal battery after this!!!

Original battery on boat lasted 11 years and was still going strong - it was replaced as a matter of service life expectancy. Replacement Marine DieHard lasted 1.5 yrs - no contest!

I use Yellow top in my bass boat for higher voltage useage for a long duration like my trolling motors and blue top is specified as a marine specific cranking battery which i have also as a cranking/electronics battery, they work great.

Oops forgot the Yellow top. Yellow top provide the cranking amps for
starting engines and then have additional capacity for running external
options while receiving a charge. Think of lights mounted on a four wheel
off road vehicle or an electrical recovery winch. They demand juice, that is
amps available in storage. Optimas are well worth the dollars. We use them
in our vehicles, off road equipment and all of our boats. They last year's
beyond wet cell, gas venting batteries. They are tough.

Bluetooth is a deep cycle battery. A battery that would get a continuous
load placed upon it for longer periods of time. Think marine trolling motor
use or even extra interior or exterior lighting requirements. Blue top
batteries are rated for longer periods of use at less amperage compared to
cranking battery. Blue hardware is marine grade stainless steel.

Hi K, I'm glad to assist you! This Part No. 34M-1050 is a starting battery only. For your application you would want to use one of our Deep Cycle Blue Top batteries. We do offer the Deep Cycle Battery Part No. D31M, D27M and D34M online. Depending on size and weight restrictions for your boat any of these should work. You will get the most run time from the Part No. D31M. Run time for a deep cycle application is amp hour rating of battery(s) divided by the total amp draw.
