This NGK V-Power Spark Plug - Part No. 2238 is pregapped at 0.04 inches. All the spark plugs are pre-gapped from the factory, the fact remains that the gap must be adjusted for the vehicle that the spark plug is intended for. Those with modified engines must remember that a modified engine with higher compression or forced induction will typically require a smaller gap settings. For any further assistance please feel free to call us at: 1-877-238-2623 or visit the nearest Advance Auto Parts store and one of our Parts Pros will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.

  • Q:

I purchased 8-NGK TR5GP spark plugs for my 2003 Chevy Tahoe. A mechanic/friend of mine said that I should only put in American plugs because of the electrode and temperature rating. I use NGK in a Mazda RX-7 for years with no issues. Will they harm my motor? I have about 160K on the engine.
