I installed these on my 2003 Honda Accord Coupe, 4 cylinder. These are the same plugs that were installed at the factory (I checked). I wanted to do a review because there is some question as to whether or not to use anti-seize compound on ngk plugs. The Haynes repair manual for the accords says to apply anti seize. NGK says not to apply anti-seize because it may cause you to overtighten the plugs, resulting in stripping the aluminum threads in the engine block. NGK also says they have already applied anti corrosion to the plugs. I used anti-seize because I didn't see the NGK notice about this until after I installed the plugs. I torqued the plugs in to 13 ft/lbs of torque. The car runs great, a noticeable improvement. If I were to do it all over, I would not use anti-seize as the 9 year old plugs came out easily so evidently it's not needed, but I think you're ok if you do use it. These are excellent plugs. Dealer will charge you $150 for a tune up ($22.50 per plug + labor. Do it yourself and save $120. It's an easy tune up.

These NGK plugs are original OEM for my Acura which has an aluminum engine block. I installed new NGK plugs at 97k without putting anti-seize compound on the threads. This is how NGK instructs you to install their plugs because there is plating on the threads that breaks loose and makes removing them much easier. NGK tells you not to use anti-seize because it makes the plug go into the block much smoother which confuses the really dumb mechanics so then they over tighten and break the plugs. Also, NGK doesn't want the gobs of anti-seize compound that the dumb mechanic puts all over the threads to ooze onto the firing tip of the plug. If you follow the instructions from NGK when dealing with an aluminum block, then you are doomed to spend 2-3 days with a can of penetrating oil, trying to remove their plugs after 60k. ALL MY PLUGS WERE FROZEN IN THE ALUMINUM ENGINE BLOCK. My advice to you is to learn how to properly apply anti-seize to the threads on the spark plug. And finally, NGK will tell you to warm up an aluminum engine block to make removing their plugs easier. This is a bad idea unless you want the block threads to come out with the plugs which will force you to buy new cylinder heads. Other than that, I have no problems with the spark plug itself.

Comments about NGK Laser Iridium Spark Plug (IZFR6K11):

I got the spark plug for my 2003 accord coupe v4. The part is genuine NGK the same as the factory spark plug. The only problem i had was the spark plugs were not gaped correctly. So I have adjust the gap myself and it is a little difficult to do it especially if you have to try not damage the tip. Over all it is a very good product and I would but it again.

NGK is the OEM Honda Plug. It took away the misfire my car had. Do not use AutoLites. Hondas are picky about their spark plugs.

These NGKs comes OEM on the 2003-2007 Honda J series V6 engines. They are terrific plugs and although they are supposed to last 100K, I would change them out every 50K just to maximize performance. They are price - but if you buy via Advance website - GOOGLE FOR ADVANCE AUTO ONLINE CODES and save yourself a bunch of $.
