Inside the Digital 6AL, you'll find a microprocessor that monitors and controls every firing and rev limit. The circuits are updated with efficient components that help the ignition produce more power while drawing less current. The Digital 6AL delivers over 530 volts to the coil with up to 135mJ of spark energy for every firing. This increased output combined with MSD's proven multiple spark series is a win-win situation.

Great name brand and product, but.......

I decided to upgrade my old analog MSD 6al box to the new digital 6al for my show car. I was very pleased with Advanc Auto's pricing, discount offers/promotions, as well as their delivery, but when i received and opened MSD's 6al box, and was very disappointed to see 2 things. One was that the ignition box itself was not protected by anything.The instructions were bagged but not the ignition box, leaving it leaving it unprotected from scratches from the other contents. Mine had a few minor marks and one minor scratch,and i was able to clean off the scuffs/marks, but not the very minor scratch. The 1st and most disappointing thing I noticed is that the color of the ignition box was not the same fire engine red as other MSD products (that are on my car)and not the color in their advertisements for this product.Rather it is a darker shade, I would say maroon, almost brown, rather than red.I love the quality and performance of the other products I own made by MSD, but will most likely return this item and buy another manufacturer's product. It sounds picky, but I own a show car (and even if I didn't) and other MSD products and I don't see the sense in spending $2 let alone over $200 for a product that doesn't look like it belongs. ie. Matching other products from the same manufacturer. As for Advanced auto....great Company,pricing,offers,shipping, and service.This was not their fault,but was a strange, and frankly, senseless decision of someone at MSD. PS- I called MSD=thier response was "let me see if I have one in the office, uhh Yup it looks like a different shade....."......??????

Wow, what a difference in starting and performance!
I would not buy this product again.
Part only has 90 day defective return policy. Bought Decenber 9th. Installed 11 March part was bad out of box. Now have to deal with manufacturer and its the weekend. I have bought four msd gnitionn parts from various sources over the years. Two igniotion boxes and two coils. So far the ignition boxes have went out just after warranty and the two ignition coils are going strong.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
