Check Vehicle Fit

The Motorcraft Original Equipment Oil Filter is designed, engineered and recommended by Ford Motor Company. This filter helps protect against engine wear by screening out abrasives, such as carbon, sand, dust and bits of metal before they can get into your oil.

Product Features:
  • Pressure-relief valves help minimize the chance of contaminated oil circulating back into the engine
  • Pressure-relief valves also help maintain the supply of oil to the engine under extreme cold conditions or if the filter gets clogged
  • Steel cases are "ironed" for a precise fit, fluted to ease removal and painted to resist rust
  • Efficient filter media offers increased dirt-collecting capability and ability to capture more engine-harming particles

I have 133,000 miles on the car, so that should speak for this filter. No engine work other than a spark plug wire replacement.

    • A:

Yes you do. Make sure to put new/oil on it before installing though. It will prevent it sticking when you change the oil next

    • A:

Absolutely! That is what creates a nice seal. It is good practice to
lightly coat the rubber ring by dabbing your finger in a little oil and
rubbing it around the rubber ring before installing.
