Well, the last time I did a set of Plugs I blew a lot of cash on the newer Iridium plugs. Yea, I bit into the hype about easier ignition adding horsepower and increasing fuel efficiency. Horsepower, maybe. Fuel efficiency, no. Folks, I have six cars ranging from 4 to 10 cylinders and have had a chance to try various configurations of plugs of different varieties and from different manufacturers. My experienced opinion is now just to stick with the OEM style of plug and to buy US made. These are the OEM style and are US made. I did indeed get better fuel efficiency with these. Thanks Motocraft. Keep up the good work.

web site I believe wrongly listed this as 2004 Cadillac original equipment. My step-son did the install and said these were ford products, not GM. GM used Delco's. When I went to the store to get the second Motorcraft plug that was out of sotck to the rist time...for my online order. The clerk looked up by my car and found Delco was the original equipment, now I have two odd plugs in my car...not good form .

Fixing a misfire. giving a tune up. Lots more power than the 14 year old, 150k mile ones. Grab a 6 inch 3/8 drive extension to reach way down past the valve cover into the heads for the plugs.

BEST CHOICE FOR A FORD TRUCK

Comments about Motorcraft Original Equipment Finewire Single Platinum Spark Plug:

I own a 1997 Ford F-150 Super Cab with 4.6 Liter OHC V-8, and as of today, 08 May 2017, the truck has 326,000+ all original miles on the clock. Last week I had my local repair facility (Pon and Rounds Muffler and Exhaust Specialists in Lincolnton, NC) replace the spark plugs and wires. They installed the parts that I bought at their recommendation, the Motorcraft Original Equipment Platinum Spark Plugs shown above, and new Belden Lifetime Warranty Spark Plug Wires. This makes the third set of replacement plugs, and the FIRST set of replacement wires in 20 years and 326,000 miles. The truck runs like a Swiss watch again.

  • Q:

    I have a one owner
2001 Ford Ranger 3.0L 6cyl Vin U and my Check engine light came on so I changed the spark plugs at 60000 which were slightly eroded. I put in 6 SP-432 even though the replacement called for AWSF32PP. I gapped them to .044" and it runs ok but could be better and my idle is rough, so rough that the antenna moves around. Is .044 the right gap for these plugs?
