Moog bearing

from Akron, Ohio

Comments about MOOG Hub Assemblies Front Wheel Hub Assembly:

Looked at alot of bearings and for money, this is well worth it. The cheaper ones will only last a year (if that) before they will start making noise and then you will have to take more of your time to replace.

Poor GM design, but no other options

from Pennsylvania

  • Easy to replace

  • Flimsy

Comments about MOOG Hub Assemblies Front Wheel Hub Assembly:

These parts are fine replacements but they are almost all made in China or Korea. I believe the National and NTP brand are made in China. The sad part is, due to GM's original design, these have only cheap ball bearings and wear out if you do any **serious** performance driving, like autocross or road racing. For everyday street driving they are sufficient and will likely last a while. But if you take your Camaro/Firebird to any race track and use larger or R compound tires, they will wear out much faster. And it's not so much the quality of the part as GM's poor design. You'll simply be replacing these a lot if you race. You'll also know that your hubs are worn if, after making a turn or cornering aggressively, your brake pedal is very soft or goes to the floor. This is "pad knockback" from a wobbly hub that presses your brake pads back into the calipers. Time for new hubs!
