Comments about MOOG Driveline Products U Joint:

Excellent product, but be careful when your installing it. When you start pressing the cap on one end, be sure you hold the ujoint inside otherwise the loose fingers will drop down without you knowing it and it will prevent it from connecting all the way in. This happened to me and I only needed a 1/16 to 1/8 so I could place the end cap clips on and it would not budge, I took it back off and that one cap all the fingers fell out.

    U-joints suck to size...

    By

    from NH

Comments about MOOG Driveline Products U Joint:

U-joints are tough to size properly. Between single piece, two piece, front vs. rear shafts, yoke end vs. differential end. For instance, my '99 short bed, 1500, Z71, 4x4, ext. cab rear shft takes two different ujoints as the joles are different sizes between the aluminum shaft and the steel yoke. Make sure you know which ujoint you need for EACH JOINT before getting into the job if at all possible. There may be half a dozen ujoints that can be "exact fit" but aren't b/c of one of several reasons.

Once the correct size is determined, I've never had a problem with Moog quality.

Comments about MOOG Driveline Products U Joint:

Perfect fit for a 01 Silverado Z71 ext cab. These ujoints connect the rear axle to the driveshaft. Be careful when connecting the driveshaft to the rear axle as the joint cap fell off on its own and all the needle bearings fell out. Watch youtube videos on how to replace ujoints and you should be good to go.

It would be nice if MOOG would put the deminsions of their U joints on their web site.

It should not matter as long as you can access to apply more grease as needed.

It should face the back for easier greasing.
