Comments about MOOG Coil Springs: Variable Rate:

I have beed a mechanic for 10 years, and typically don't like messing with strut springs because they are too hard to compress far enough. These were a wider spiral so my cheap $40 spring compresser tools did the job. Remember to pull the strut rod out of the piston as far as you can so you don't have to compress the spring down to nothing. It took me 1.5 hrs car in to back on the road. Also check alignment after any steering/ suspension parts are replaced. I just take a tape measure on the tire treads front and rear about the same height and idealy toe in 1/16 in.
