been using the proper weights of Mobile 1 in all my vehicles like my John Deere lawnmower and my XR600R 1996 Honda dirt bike and my 1996 Mystic Cobra for over 14 years without any problems and have saved a few vehicles that didn't have mobile 1 in then at the time I bought them like my truck that was smoking badly until I started putting mobile one in it some 13 years ago and it still runs today with over 220,000 miles on it and had 130,000 on it when I bought it ....but today I am more worried about my new screamin' eagle 103 that used a quart of Harley syn3 this summer ! not cool ! so I went looking to see who makes H-D syn3 and found a XL Forum with a H-D Dealer that said they found a Citgo labile on the bottom of one of their H-D syn3 bottles and the distributor for the H-D syn3 oil wanted it back and they never gave it to him ! so I think it's time I quit worrying about all of it and just go out get some Mobile 1 V-twin 20w50 motorcycle oil and forget about it !

First time to order online and pickup in store. WORKS GREAT! Ordered from my laptop while on the way to the store, it was ready when I got there.
As a bonus, it was three dollars a quart cheaper, due to an online sale price. I LIKE IT!

Comments about Mobil1 V-Twin 20W-50 4-Cycle Motorcycle Oil (1 Quart):

The on line discount price is great and their location is very convenient. The Mobil 1 product is highly rated and you can get it at a price that is very competitive with large on-line stores. I wish they would carry primary and transmission fluid specific for motorcycles.

Is synthetic oil worth the price?

Comments about Mobil1 V-Twin 20W-50 4-Cycle Motorcycle Oil (1 Quart):

First time I have used this product, primarily because of expense, but was curious on how it would respond to the rigors of a 1600cc Yamaha motorcycle. No decisions have been made as of yet as not enough time or mileage has been recorded to give results. I am looking for smoother gear changing, lower engine heat, and cleaner oil. We shall see. I have had no problems with the conventional multi-viscosity oil I have been using for the past 32K miles and the engine runs fine. Time will tell I suppose.

Comments about Mobil1 V-Twin 20W-50 4-Cycle Motorcycle Oil (1 Quart):

I have been riding and re-building Harley's since the mid- seventies. I started using this oil about 10 years ago and I find it to be a great motor saver. I am a creature of habit, If I find something that works I stick with it.

      A:

I'm glad to assist you, Frankm! Upon research, I found that this Mobil1 V-Twin 20W-50 4-Cycle Motorcycle Oil (1 Quart) - Part No. 112630 is not a product that we could recommend in comparison to what Kohler says to use. My research leads me to believe that this is a Kohler SV730 Courage engine. If so, based on a product requiring API SJ or higher specification, we would recommend our Mobil 1 10W-30.

as far as jap wet clutches go , I would say yes ! I had real good luck with mobile 1 full synthetic in my 1996 XR600R Honda back when I was racing Hare scrambles with it after being warned and questioning it with people saying that full synthetic would make the clutch slip , but I found just the opposite and the clutch hooked up better than ever in a race and never got too hot and was able to "fan" my clutch going up steep hills instead of down shifting to force my clutch to slip in higher gears cutting faster lap times ( an old trick to beat your competition but can damage your clutch ) and with Mobile 1 I was able to abuse my clutch with no damage at all and I still have the same factory clutch plates in it today that my XR600R came with when it was new back in 1996 and the clutch works still as smooth as it should on just plain Mobile 1 15w50 car engine oil and I think I will change to the 20w50 Mobile motorcycle oil next !

The extremely high levels of Zn and Ph in this oil are not very good for your catalytic converter. However, if you had a cat by-pass pipe for *ahem* track days, this is some of the best oil that money can by for the air cooled Porsche motors.

motorcycle oil or considered as v-twin is used for motorcycles that are air cooled these bikes run hotter and the oil is made to withstand these higher temps

It's based on a true synthetic base stock and it has FAR higher levels of zinc and phosphorus that the "standard" Mobil 1. It compares to motor oils like Redline, Amsoil, etc etc

this good oil is no more expensive to fabricate - it just costs more due to demand and supply at fewer outlets, anyway, don't bother buying it at Advance - they won't honor the coupon code P20 for 20% off - even though it's not on special and NOT specifically excluded
