KYB Strut Boot Kits keep your struts protected from dirt, dust, sand, salt and other road debris. These harmful elements cause abrasive wear to the polished shaft, upper seal & bushing. KYB Strut Boot Kits prevent these contaminants from entering the strut by covering the entire strut shaft in a highly durable plastic bellows. This can easily extend the life of the strut. The KYB Strut Boot Kit includes a poly foam travel-limiting bumper. It's designed to protect the strut from bottoming out and protects other components from extreme movement damage.

Product Features:
  • Superior quality boot helps protect the strut shaft from leak-causing dirt and debris
  • Poly foam bumper prevents the strut from bottoming out
  • Built with design and quality that matches or exceeds OE
  • Protects the upper seal and bushing

        Comments about KYB Strut Boot:

This boot required modification to fit on KYB replacement struts for a 2004 Nissan Pathfinder. It is two pieces which is not clear from the picture and is different than the OEM boot. The strut shaft is stepped and the hole in the boot is made for the smaller diameter. The larger diameter does not fit into the boot which makes it impossible to mount without reaming the hole larger. There is no need for the tight fit as the boot attaches to the upper strut mount.

Not too hard. You will have to remove the strut itself to do it. For help, you can find a video of how to remove a shock/strut on our website. Click the "Advance Know How" tab on our site and then click "Video Clinics". In the list that comes up you will find a video or two of how to change out shocks and struts. Use this video to help with the removal and installation of the strut after you have replaced the boot.
