2002 Camry, flashing AC light and no A/C. I was told that this relay might be the cause. I bought the relay, slapped it in, and now I have a nice cold blast of air where nasty hot air came in.

                Comments about Intermotor Relay:

My air went out suddenly so I checked the ac fuse-it was ok. I thought maybe the blower relay might be bad. I replaced it with one from Advanced Auto. It didn't help. The problem was the ac control switch. However I don't feel bad replacing a 25 year old part as it was an original part. After fixing the control switch air worked fine, so the part I replaced must also be working fine.

                    A:

Open your hood and locate the relay box. It is typically located near you vehicle's battery, but if you have trouble identifying it, consult your owner's manual. Open the relay panel, you'll be able to simply pry up the panel's cover, or you may have to unscrew it. Check the inside of the relay panel cover. Your entire relay diagram will be shown there, including the headlight relay. Find your headlight relay by consulting the diagram. Remove the relay and insert a new one by plugging it straight in. Reattach the relay box cover and close your hood.
