Follow directions on the can, but here are some helpful tips: Use when the ambient air temp is low (say at night) to allow easiest ingestion into the system. Otherwise, spray the condenser continuously with a cold water hose to soak off extra heat and allow more refrigerant into the system. Obviously it helps to have some assistance when using hose and simultaneously charging the system. Make sure A/C is on high and deactivate the cabin air recirculation button. Keep an eye on refrigerant level in the system. Use a filler hose with a gauge (these aren't super accurate, but they are ball-park good and adequate for the shadetree mechanic) and fill right to the highest side of the "full" range, but do not overfill. Properly installed and with the A/C system in otherwise good condition, your air should blow very cold with just one can. My 2002 Subaru Outback was blowing warm 60-plus degree air. After on can, she was down to a nice chilly 40 degrees. Stuff works great if you use it properly.

Second one worked

The first bottle leaked below the nozzle. The great folks at my local Advance traded it out and the replacement worked as advertised.

Use this to charge an older vehicle that barely blew cold air this had everything you need for an older vehicles ac system it's a good choice without spending a lot of money I like to use one expensive van and a small cheaper can to top it off

Comments about Interdynamics EZ Chill R-134a Refill with Oil, and Leak Sealer (12 oz.):

You will need a hose specific to this brand to be able to connect it, this is a refill can. Once I put in to my vehicle started blowing cold air again.

Comments about Interdynamics EZ Chill R-134a Refill with Oil, and Leak Sealer (12 oz.):

This product works great every time I install it. I needed to repair 3 vehicles this season so the A/C would work and I finished each repair with this can of refrigerant. I am not fond of having to hold the button the entire time, but the gauge on the hose for this type of can is VERY easy to read. The leak sealer in this type of refill is only good for very small leaks. But, it keeps my vehicles VERY cold when properly filled. I recommend buying this item online with a discount coupon or offer to get the best price.

          • A:

It depends on your vehicle. 1 or 2 cans is usually enough to restore a system that has stopped blowing cool air. if the system is completely empty however, you may need 4 or 5 cans, but will also need to defeat the safety system that turns the compressor off due to low pressure. May need a trip to a shop for them to do this.
