Comments about Fram Motorcycle Oil Filter:

Don't be afraid to perform routine maintenance on your motorcycle. Changing your oil filter regularly can greatly extend the life of your motorcycle engine but many riders are unaware their motorcycle even has an oil filter. Advance Auto Parts has access to most oil filters used on most motorcycles either in stock or by the next day. Advance Auto Parts is usually much less expensive than your typical motorcycle shop. One thing I ALWAYS do after replacing an oil filter and changing the oil is to disconnect either the primary ignition coil or remove the spark plug boots prior to starting the motor. The reason is this: When one changes the oil and filter, the lubrication system is rendered virtually dry and full of air pockets (air doesn't lubricate an engine, oil does). By turning an engine over with the starter and not allowing it to start, we get oil to vital engine parts that need lubrication (main bearings, connecting rod bearings as well as camshaft bearings). Simply crank the engine over until the oil light goes off. This indicates that we now have oil to all vital engine components. Once the oil light goes off, simply re-connect whatever you disconnected so the motorcycle wouldn't start and you are ready to ride. Make sure to check your oil level either through the sight glass or on the dipstick (if so equipped) as the oil level will have been reduced due to the filter housing filling up with oil.

Since there are no stores in your area that do not have it in stock you will have to go to your nearest Advance Auto Parts store and special order one.
