Nice and big so oil doesn't get everywhere when draining the pan and filter. Holds tons of fluid, but I only ever have a max of about 6 quarts in it because it'll start to slosh around when you pick it up. It cleans out easily with a rag and is pretty easy to pour into a container (w/a funnel of course). The plastic is a little thin in my opinion, so hopefully it holds up over years of being slid on the garage floor.

big, but a little too big for my cars

a bit cumbersome, but really cheap ([$]) makes it a good deal for a truck or high clearance vehicle.

Great Pan for Catching Coolant

Comments about FloTool 5 Gallon Drain Pan:

This pan worked great for catching coolant when I drained my system coolant by disconnecting the lower radiator hose from the radiator. It has plenty of volume and the curved edges really helped to contain the splash. Also I was able to transport the coolant in this pan in the trunk of my car without any spillage. I did drive deliberately/taking it easy but no spillage!

Worked for me.

Comments about FloTool 5 Gallon Drain Pan:

Pan is light and thin. Spout works well. I didn't test the cap on the end of the spout, but I wouldn't trust it. Used for a coolant flush and fill. Had no problem with those volumes. Good and wide to catch the stream. However, there will still be a fair amount of splashing, so don't forget to put down cardboard. I'd trust this pan for a couple years before a hole wears through the plastic. Thicker plastic would last longer, but also be heavier when you are draining, so it's a trade-off. Overall, definitely worth it for the price and application, A+ would buy again.
