  • Q:

What is the manufacturers tolerance for the outside diameter of this bearing? The bearings I ordered don't fit properly and don't mic within NSK's tolerance for the outside diameter of the bearing.

There should be a tolerance of 0.0047 for the bearing you ordered. But make sure that you have an 8.5" ring gear for that bearing to work because you could have a 9.5" ring gear.

As far the od when installing your new bearing, I checked mine by the old
bearing and installed it with the outer race of the old bearing.

When I had this happen to me, I found out when I had installed the bearing,
my axial wouldn't go all the way in the housing. When I figured out what
was going on and got another bearing I took the axial, stood it up on the
studs and slid the bearing on until it was located on the axial in the same
spot that it would be in when installed. You can go by measurements but
      this worked for me .
