I see all of these negative comments on how these are too "big" and don't fit. These ball joints are the same as the OEM ball joint, and you have to use a press to get them out and to press the new ones in.

Since the rubber boot/sleeve has to be put on after the ball joint is pressed in, don't forget to grease them after installing. This might be why some of the reviews for either this one or the lower ball joint say they failed. MAKE SURE YOU GREASE THEM WITH A GREASE GUN.

I understand that most like myself, buy these parts and do the work to save money. Although, based on most of these reviews blaming the parts for issues they're having is normally because of the "mechanic" having no clue how to do the job.

Originally purchased and installed this ball joint 2.5 years ago and after 16,000 mikes it was completely blown out and destroyed. Rubber/neoprene boot was split and deteriorated, grease everywhere and ball close to coming out of socket.
The only saving factor is this product carries a limited lifetime warranty but still needed to obsorb the time & expense to tear the front left suspension apart to have a new ball joint pressed out/in and reassemble it.
Its interesting when the product is advertised and meeting/exceeding OE specs. My OE GM ball joints lasted over 11 years and 92,000 miles.
Hopefully this replacement performs better. Time will tell.

Comments about Driveworks Suspension Ball Joint:

Dust Boot rips super easy, does not come as pictured with the clips that secure the boot in place, making it to easy to come off when installing and nearly impossible to put back on without ripping.

Comments about Driveworks Suspension Ball Joint:

When I ordered the ball joint replacement for my vehicle I requested unserviceable units because I do not own a grease gun. When I look at the parts during pick up time I noticed that both pieces were very different. One had a grease fitting and the other did not. The vendor made excuses for the main differences which boiled down to new & old. I will not be purchasing any equipment from this vendor again.

Comments about Driveworks Suspension Ball Joint:

Looks to be a quality replacement part comparable to O.E. the installation was a straight up no issues install. I used a ball joint press with an impact gun, did both sides in about 2 hours complete. My only concern is the "press on" boot; it went on as it should securely, however it does not have any type of locking ring to seat into once in place. Time will tell, also make sure you grease it once done and do not over do it or you will defeat the purpose of the rubber boot. Great economical alternative.

Comments about Driveworks Suspension Ball Joint:

Excellent, inexpensive replacement for high mileage vehicle. (Tip of the day) Put the part in the freezer prior to install, it will help the metal contract and will make installation easier. Also take advantage of the loaner Master Ball Joint Installation tool. I would say to get the larger kit of the two they have available. I did this upper ball joint in just under an hour by myself...

Hi Frankie, great question! I researched and found that this suspension ball joint is for front upper and is sold individually. You would need two for your vehicle which is meant as 2 required in the description.
