  • Q:

Will I need the specialized tie rod tool for this or should I be able to to it with an adjustable wrench ?

Hi Jason, good question! To install the steering tie rod end, you would need just a few basic things like ratchet wrench, flathead screwdriver, jack stands, and grease. For help with your project, I recommend purchasing a Haynes or Chilton repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.
