Splines not cut deep as original part
This is a ok replacement to the original with the exception that the splines where it attaches to the steering box are not set as deep as the original and just barely goes on far enough to allow the lock washer and nut to engage all the threads. This may be to save cost or just a method of fitting many models perhaps? It did set my steering draglink slightly lower as well and required me to have an alignment done to correct for the slight geometry change. I would suggest that you check other brands to compare the spline depth of engagement first to minimize changes in your steering geometry and hopefully avoid having an alignment done with just a simple change of a pitman arm.

Complete Junk!
I bought one of these parts for my 1992 Dodge Dakota. After installing it I noticed my steering wheel was 180* off or so. So after HOURS of trying to find out if there was any other possible way to get it on there wasn't. The splines make it fool proof. Finally I discovered after trying a different brand that the grooves in the original part were not made in the right spot. The manufacture messed up and makes this part faulty! DO NOT BUY. I will say I returned this part to Advance Auto and they refunded me and got me hooked up with another brand.

absolute garbage
does not clock right for steering. Currently stuck on gear box spline. Broke a puller trying to get back off of gear box. Even after a manager telling me that this item was sub-par after installation and noticing the angle of the steering wheel local store will not compensate for damage. Local store will only provide a replacement puller. Really? Will use competitors from now on.
