Well well well let me say this, when. I installed it, it made a difference, faster cranking than the old one, it took a little longer to crank, plus the old one was overcharging, now I'm good and straight, the one year warranty didn't stop me from going for it. I am ready to see how long can it hold up from now until a year away, time will tell if it will hold up, it is charging normal, no over overcharging plus I took the battery out to see if it still had a full charge and push come to shove, that it does. OEM fit and function, it do not look like a remanufactured alternator to me. Looks brand new to be a remanufactured. Truck sound quieter too seem like since a all different alternator is installed. I saved the shop labor by doing it myself in the AAP store number 6160 parking lot.

Short Lasting

I purchased this on 3/2012. I am now replacing it! It did not even last 3 years. I will buy one with a lifetime warranty this time.

Comments about Driveworks Alternator - Remanufactured - 130 Amps:

Poor value, it kept blowing fuse. Took it back and get a different type that was a little more expensive. Advance auto parts staff was great, most helpful. Note: Don't go cheap on auto parts!

Comments about Driveworks Alternator - Remanufactured - 130 Amps:

When I went in to pickup the new alternator I wanted my old one tested first to make sure it was bad, but the bench testing machine was out of order now, how come evertime blacks run a store nothing works? The other thing is how almost no one nowdays knows how to use the bench testing machine for alternator I always like to have old and new alternator tested to make sure that the old is bad and the new one works the machine should load test and check for backfeed on it

      A:

Sorry, Joemyers. Without the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it, nor provide you with a 100% answer. I would suggest that you take your vehicle and get it thoroughly checked by a certified mechanic before buying any parts that may/may not solve the problem.
