  • Q:

Does this compressor already have the oil in it like the new ones does??
Asked on 5/28/2016 by Billy D from Gulf coast Ms.

    1 answer

Yes, Billy D, this Driveworks Air Conditioning Compressor with Clutch - Remanufactured (Part No. DW57114) come with pre-oiled. However, drain any oil shipped in compressor used for lubrication during shipping only, and add the proper amount of PAG oil. Oil must be added through the fill bolt of the compressor, when applicable. After everything has been installed, use your hand or a spanner wrench to rotate the clutch 10 to 15 times before you turn the system on. This will clear the system of lubricants.
