Q:I have a clicking noise under dash on my 1993 Chevy c1500 v6 and now my heat is not working at all.could this most likely be the problem?
A:Hi Dchristie, I'm glad to help you! This #604-102 is for the mode door. Without the presence of your vehicle I would not be able to properly diagnose it, nor provide you with a 100% answer. I would suggest that you take your vehicle to a certified mechanic for further diagnosis.
Q:i have a 1994 chevy 1500 is this the actuator which controls the hot to cold door or the vent selecton i dont think my hot to cold door is shuting or opening all the way if it is the hot to cold door acutator where is it located?
A:Heater Blend Door Actuator is located under the dash on the heater case and it controls the vent selection.
Q:If this door is defective, would airflow not divert to the upper vents? I get no airflow to the defrost either. Where is it located on a 93 Chevrolet K20 pickup? Thanks!
A:I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.
A:I have '93 C1500 Suburban. The mode actuator is located on the driver's side of the AC ductwork, directly below the radio and ashtray. I replaced mine, and the defroster control now works.
Q:for what car is this part for I'm looking for a blend door actuator for a 1999 dodge grand caravan
A:No, this part does not fit your 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan. It will fit only for GM SUVs and C&K Series Trucks 2002-88.
Q:Hello is this the unit that faces aft twards the cabin just behind center dash board, because there are two others mounted on the heater/ac box
A:Yes this is that part.
Q:do's this part make a thomping nose when you first start up,and when you tern the engine off.
Q:WHERE IS THIS LOCATED?
A:In order to be more helpful in response to your question, we need specific information about your vehicle make, model, and year. If you happen to be near an Advance Auto Parts store you can visit the store, or contact us at 1-877-ADVANCE. Then we can help you find the right part to fit your vehicle.
A:Bill, i have an 89 gmc with a/c and this part is placed on the heater box just inside the dash, if you take the plastic glovebox out you can see it if you look down and towards the center of the truck... you have to take out the center section of the dash (vent &/or radio) to remove and replace it. it is held to the heater box with two 7mm screws.. I am in the process of replacing mine now and just got on the site to see if it was in stock @ my local store. Its not hard at all to change.. (unless you have really big hands like mine!LOL)
