The best thing about this product is that it's new. With the old oiled lines out my engine bay stays a lot cleaner now. Very simple to replace.

Routing is a little difficult, along with removal of the rear bolt. You can see it but you can't get to it without a couple extensions. Other than that it seems to be working well so far.

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Engine Oil Cooler Line:

This is the second set of these I have purchased with the same result; they will leak after a short time and leak badly thereafter. It is a messy pain to replace these, so I decided to spend the extra money and get AC Delco original equipment replacements. No more puddles and messy undercarriage!

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Engine Oil Cooler Line:

I bought these several years ago for my '98 S10 and had Advance replace them once under their "lifetime" warranty. They continue to develop leaks after a couple years. I gave up and went to a custom hydraulic hose shop for custom lines.

I have a 1996 S10 Blazer. I had to cut the old hoses out, I cannot determine how to fit the new hose/connection block through the space where the motor mount is located. It will not fit. Can any one provide me with a solution??

Hello Mike, I will be happy to help you with your question. You can go to Youtube and type in your vehicle year make and model and the procedure you are doing and a visual guide is available. You will also need a long extension bar and a universal joint for your socket.

i was told these clamps arent very reliable. they expand and contract with heating and cooling of the engine and cause them to fail. my first question is, is there any better aftermarket part out there? and also is this a two or three crimp model.

Hi Er0ck, good question! These lines were changed to a new style crimp and have had no issues. Also it is a 3 crimp model.

are the two oil lines going from the oil filter to the back of the block on my 4WD 2001 S-10 4.3V6 replaced from under the truck or from above? There is no room to replace the from below.

              A:

With reference to your inquiry on the Dorman - OE Solutions Engine Oil Cooler Line - Part No. 625-001 it is impossible to remove the oil cooler line without making a little clearance between the engine and front differential (from above). The process is straight forward if you use about 3' of ratchet extensions. For any further assistance please feel free to call us at: 1-877-238-2623 or visit the nearest Advance Auto Parts store and one of our Parts Pros will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.

Yes. This particular oil line (from engine to filter) can be a bit challenging, if you have a really long extension bar and a universal joint for your socket, its not too bad. Be careful not to cross thread or strip the little bolt that holds the hose clamp to the engine block. Don't ask me how I know ;-)

One goes from the filter to the block and the other goes from the filter to the radiator. YOUR SAYING THERE IS NOT 2 AT ALL.

              Answered on 6/13/2011 by V from V
            • A:

For a 4WD there are two sets of hoses. One set goes from the block to the oil filter, the other goes from the filter back to the block. This is due to the filter being placed differently due to the placement of the transfer case.
