Fits exactly as the original, but does not work the same as the original. With the original when you turn the wipers on to delay you get one pulse then it goes into delay mode, when you first turn on the wipers with this board you get nothing for about 30 seconds then it goes into delay mode not a big deal but still not the same.

The part does the job, plain and simple. If your windshield wipers are acting up it's likely the wiper pulse board. In my case this was a direct replacement and it was an easy swap as well as the fact that my windshield wipers now work properly again. Before they were either not working at all, or they would continue to work even after being shut off. The only down side to this part is the delay function is completely different from the OEM unit. The delay on this part does not activate the wipers at the first click, you will have to wait about 30 to 45 seconds before any action occurs. Not good when there is just a light mist of rain. After looking at the old OEM unit I had noticed there were a few cracks in the solder joints. I have already reparied the solder joints and am likely to try the old repaired unit before exchanging the replacement under warranty when it goes bad. Either way, it still fixes the issue.

So far, so good. The wipers no longer have a mind of their own resulting in me having to remove the fuse in order to shut them off after they had turned themselves on.

Comments about Dorman - Help Wiper Motor Pulse Board:

Perfect fit and I can tell no difference between this replacement and the OEM in operation as it controls all features as intended. When I removed the OEM board this one looks much different but that is no concern as capacitors and boards have advanced. If you can turn a Torx Screwdriver (3 Torx screws) you can replace this board. Just be sure to have some silicone or similar sealant to seal the plate to housing to keep out water or you will find yourself having to replace this electronic board again.

Windshield wiper pulse board, what can you say it works or it doesn't . It was the person I spoke to before I ordered the part online that made the difference. He was the one who suggested the board, if not I would have bought a whole motor and still would have had to get a board w/interm and washer pump control.I wish I had gotten his name he saved me money which means a lot these days.

Most difficult part of the install was getting the clip out of the harness plug. I removed the unit to get better access and squeezed the back of the pin while pulling it to get it out. Never had a harness clip quite like this one. Fixed my problem with wipers quitting on an intermittent basis. No issue with any performance as I'd seen on another review. Functions exactly like the factory module.

After much searching to find the solution to the windshield wiper problem on our 97 blazer, (sometimes they worked and sometimes they didn't) I came across info on youtube on replacing this "pulse board". For twenty bucks, it fixed the problem that had been plaguing us for months. The wipers now work like new, and the fix was very easy to do.

On my Pontiac Tran Sport (1991) my windshield wipers only work when they want to work. When they feel like working, they work great on delay as well as continuous wipe. Is this a problem with the wiper motor pulse board ?? It would seen that if it was the motor, it would just quit working and never turn on. If you believe that it is the pulse board, how would I go about finding it and replacing it ? Thank you

Happy to answer your question Mailman! It may be possible that your pulse board could be going bad; it could also the switch worn out internally. According to some forums it's also suggested to check your grounds that go to the wiper motor. As far as the procedure to replace the pulse board you would need to refer to a repair manual or a certified mechanic.

My wipers were frozen to the windshield and I had the wiper switch 'ON'. Now I only have high speed, and wipers stay in the position they were at when I shut them off. Replacing the delay module corrected the problems. Some problems are caused by cracked\poor solder joints. Other times the 2 contacts that the slip ring rotates on get corroded and can be cleaned-Best to just spend $25.00 and fix it right. Edit-1994 GMC Yukon GT.

                        A:

It might be a bad ground to the wiper module or a bad TIPM, the underhood fuse block. If the ground is bad (good chance), try jumpering a good ground source directly to the wiper connector for test purposes. If you see less than system voltage coming out of the TIPM relays that supply these outputs are electronic and will require replacement of the TIPM in most cases.
