Battery in my Honda CR-v was just about to die. Ordered a new one online with in-store pickup option. Ready in 20 minutes! However, the store employees were less than enthusiastic about installing the new battery. Mumbled something about "we'll take a look at your vehicle and let you know." Hey, what about the sign that says "We will gladly install your new battery."? Female employee asked; "Where is the battery?" I replied : "Umm, under the hood." To which she snapped; "Well, if the battery is buried under a bunch of wires or anything, we won't touch it." Not the response I expected, but a male employee came out and looked and installed the battery which was in plain view and unobstructed. This store is notorious for poor service, but if I only have to put up with it every 3-4 years or so I guess I can suffer through.

I am very happy with the battery itself so far (5 stars), but I am not quite satisfied with the experience. Due to the special pandemic of COVID-19, I hesitated before ordering this battery and verified the website, it clearly says that free installation when purchasing battery. I doubted if they updated the terms and conditions to reflect the pandemic so I called the store where I would purchase the battery and still was told that they do free installation and it takes about 30-45 min, store opens at 7:30am. Given the time I purchased the product near store closing, so I waited until the next day and went to the store in the morning 7:45am after their opening, but when I arrived, the manager told me "the guy" who does the installation will not come to the store until 10am, and I can get the battery if I like but nobody can help to install at the moment. So I went back and came back again around 5:15pm, there are many technicians at the store but was told due to COVID-19 they can not help to install the battery but can provide tools if I install myself. I told me they listed on the website they still offer free installation and I called yesterday, but was still declined the installation. The technician did give me instructions how to remove and install the battery and it took me a while about 35 mins to finish myself. But if I knew they stop offering battery installation I would go to a dealer and let them install the battery. Again I checked the website and confirmed with the store personnel but still declined, if there is a company policy please pose online or tell the customers over the phones.
