Comments about Denso IK16 Iridium Power Spark Plug:

Replaced the somewhat new, perfectly good autolite platinums in my high mileage Nissan vg33e V6. Previous owner installed the autolites. Gaps were perfect but I've had less than perfect performance from that brand in Japanese and German cars.

There is a noticeable difference with the Denso iridiums. Truck is running smoother and throttle response is better. There is probably a torque increase. Main thing... I can rest assured the heat index is correct. Use either ngk or Denso in a Nissan.

Most people are crazy about NGK's but their ground electrodes suck. I've witnessed terrible erosion on their ground electrodes even with their iridium IX's.

Denso makes a better plug, period. Their plugs (especially the Iridium Power) have always exceeded my expectations. The performance lasts a very long time. The ground electrodes resist pitting/erosion better than any other plug I've used, the heat index is nicely calibrated for German and Japanese cars, and they don't need to be checked for gap for a long time. So far, I've always noticed a positive and lasting difference using Denso iridium.

These iridium sparkplugs last close to two hundred thousand miles. Great for those Ford aluminun head engines where every sparkplug may be it's last.

Comments about Denso IK16 Iridium Power Spark Plug:

I only have 25 miles use on them and noticed immediate improvements in idle and highway driving on a 2.0 liter 4 cyl. 5th gear on my car has much better acceleration. I can attest proof positive that the Denso IK16 Iridium has improved my engines performance enough to be noticed and not subtle. I have never noticed this much improvement changing spark plugs on a car till now !

Too early to tell if they are what they say they are. Only put 500 miles on the car so will have to drive a bit more to see if they perform as expected.

Hi Dan, great question! All the spark plugs are pre-gapped from the factory, the fact remains that the gap must be adjusted for the vehicle that the spark plug is intended for. Those with modified engines must remember that a modified engine with higher compression or forced induction will typically require a smaller gap settings.
