Works great!

It's pretty effective for electronic cleaning. Straight alcohol works too and is a little cheaper.

Works great. I use brake cleaner for a lot of things, but on certain items you can't use it because it will damage them. This works great in those instances. I always keep a can around.

Comments about CRC QD® Electronic Cleaner, 11 oz.:

Didn't use this on an automobile, I used it on a commercial chiller unit. I had a level sensor fail on the unit, so disconnected all of the electrical pig tails and found some corrosion in one of them. Bought this product to aid me in cleaning the connection. After a few heavy sprays, 90% of the corrosion was eliminated. I also used a green scrub pad the loosen up some of the corrosion on the male connector side and it is totally corrosion free. The female side wouldn't allow me to scrub it, so that's where I blasted it multiple times and I would say that it is mostly corrosion free now. Another thing I did to prevent future contaminants is apply some dielectric grease to the rubber seal on the connector to prevent any further moisture intrusion.

Good Product/Lousy Store

Comments about CRC QD® Electronic Cleaner, 11 oz.:

The advertised price was online only. At no time or anywhere on the store website was this mentioned Extremely misleading. I stood at the cash register, ordered it online with my smartphone and waited. Had I known it was online only, I would have ordered before I went to the store and waited for the online transaction to be completed.

Comments about CRC QD® Electronic Cleaner, 11 oz.:

There seems to be some confusion when I read the reviews. This is electronics cleaner and not electrical cleaner though you may use it for both. Electrical cleaner is not safe for electronic components as it will leave a film which could cause premature failure of the component. Electronic cleaner will dry leaving no residue behind. Read the instructions that pertain to use on plastics.

      • Q:

Can I use this electrical spray cleaner ( CRD QD Electonic cleaner 11oz. ) to clean my fuel injectors after I have removed them from my car?
Asked on 5/13/2017 by Danski from MA

        2 answers

        • A:

You can use the CRD QD but there are a lot better products to clean them
than Electrical cleaner. Injectors can be cleaned with Carb cleaner, brake
cleaner and several other products. Most injectors need to be cleaned in an
ultrasonic type cleaner but a lot of people just use a small 12 volt or
less low amp current to open the injector then just spray a good quality
cleaner in the opening. Or soak them in carb or injector cleaner for an
hour or so then hook them up to open the injector valve up for a few
seconds to let the cleaner get inside the body.

No, this is intended for electrical contacts only and may deterioate injectors.. look into a carb cleaner or pb spray maybe
