Fit is perfect. Plastic housing has the metal inserts for the bolts to clamp securely without deforming. All components seem tight, and I could not blow thru the inlet like I could on the worn out part (so it's not leaking). CEL light is now gone, and car warms up faster/normal.

Product is listed for all 2007 Mazda 3s, but the housing is wrong for the Speed3 - the hose barb is too long and at the wrong angle, so it interferes with the AC pipe. You can pop the thermostat out, and that fits in the factory housing. Nice try on the "exact fit". If you have a Speed3 go for the dealer part on this one.

Comments about CARQUEST Caps and Stats Thermostat Including Housing, 180 Degrees Fahrenheit:

Product was installed on an 2005 Mazda 3. Thermostat cured the overheating problem I was having after driving on the highway for more than 15 minutes. Thermostat is difficult to reach but thankfully is only held in by three bolts. On my model one bolt could only be reached from under the car. Patience will pay off so take your time. Thermostat comes with the gasket installed exactly like the OEM part. Be sure to tighten down the bolts slowly alternating between them to ensure that the gasket seats properly.

It took around 2 hours to replace the tstat in my 06 Miata. Fitted well and I think got rid of P0126 code.

This thermostat replaced the original one in the latest generation Mazda Miata.

It appears to be better built than the one from Mazda which was replaced...

Comments about CARQUEST Caps and Stats Thermostat Including Housing, 180 Degrees Fahrenheit:

Nice little OEM replacement part. Great value. Seems to have improvements over the original part (longer port and thicker metal bolt sleeves). Comes with a gasket also. Not an easy job to replace, but that's no fault of this part. Just do your research before diving in. Took wife and I 4 hours to do, next time I could do it in 2. Saved hundreds from the mechanic.

This thermostat opens at 190 degrees not 180 as listed. Which is a good thing since Mazda now reccomends a 190 stat.
