Poor quality

The main power wire stud broke off during installation. I took it back and they gave me a remanufactured one.

Installed in a 2004 Silverado 2500HD. The truck turns over quicker and starts much faster. Everything fits great and the wiring looks more robust than stock.

Comments about CARQUEST Starter - New:

I purchased this starter after my failed. The store had in stock and the part matched perfectly. Removal of the original and installation of the new part was not complicated. It does take a little patients but it will go in. A total of 2 bolts and 2 electrical connections is all that was required to complete the swap. The truck started right up and has been working perfectly ever since. It appears to have plenty of power and is considerably quieter that the original starter. The weight and dimensions were identical to the original equipment.
