This radiator was listed as an exact fit. This is an understatment as every hole lined up perfectly. The only beef i had with install is that any small amount of pressure would bend the outer aluminum casing outside the core. it is thin, so thin that some of them were bent when i got it. I recommend taking your time and expect to put a little pressure on it during install. this applies to the 85 cj7 with i6 engine.

Filling it was easy but definatly run the engine and burp this thing. it holds alot more than you will think it does. burping was as easy as starting it up with the cap off and adding as its levels went down.

Overall easy install and fill. while the plastic feels durable its not as beefy as the original 29 hear old radiator i took out of my jeep.

The radaiator fit great, but the fittings sent with the radiator to hook up tranny lines didnt fit radiator. This damaged the radiator after it was already installed,so I had to uninstall it and take it back to my local Advance. They glady replaced my radiator at no charge and all parts I used that couldnt be reused.Besure and check all fittings before installing radiator. All in all i was very pleased with product, ease of installation and the return process of Advance.I will be a returning customer.

    Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

The price was so low that I was afraid it would not work or would be "cheaply made". Not so -- you can buy with confidence. Bolted right up. My old part had the filler neck in a different location but that was not a problem.

Did not fit. Not 3 core

        Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

This is at least 1/2 inch larger than the radiator that I took out and it hits the power steering linkage. This plus the -1 row is not good. There's a response in the Q/A's from AAP noting that this is only 2 core, so why would they not correct the website issue?

Advertised as a 3 core, but it is a 2 core. Flimsy plastic tanks not expected given the price. Overflow tube facing the wrong side so it was not a direct fit. Ended up returning it and ordering an all metal for the less money.

            Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

While description and Advance Auto answer shows this as a 3 core radiator, it is actually only 2 cores. Even the clerk who was ringing me up agreed it was only 2 core. It may have been 2 core at one time, but not now. Highly disappointed.
