Radiator is easy to install and sized for the 6 cyl engine, which worked well for my 4 cylinder engine. It performs well now even on the hottest days with AC running.
I gave this one 3 stars due to the transmission oil adapter design. A flared brass tube with a beaded end, a brass threaded cap, and threaded boss on the radiator allow you to hook up your transmission lines for additional cooling. Problem is they didn't leave enough threads on the cap and boss to get a good crush on the flare. The installation manual does not give you the required torque values, but does say in numerous places to not overtorque it or you void the warranty. The vista-pro website did not provide anything more enlightening. Gradually tightening the caps while leak checking with low pressure air I found that the leaks stop when you hit the yield limit (torque does not increase with further turning) so I stopped there. Initially they were not cross threaded although now one cap is tilted, but so far has not leaked fluid.
I do not trust this transmission cooler adapter design... I recommend the radiator but not the cooling adapters. If one breaks off your transmission fluid will be gradually depleted and you will be walking.

Good radiator, good price (with speed-perks discount!)

Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

Ordered on line. Did not notice any way to choose between radiator that was for an automatic transmission and a radiator that was for a manual transmission. Radiator I picked up was for an automatic transmission. This was a minor issue, as the radiator I picked up was a perfect fit and works flawlessly for my vehicle. However, I feel as though there should have been a clear choice between the two types of radiators for my vehicle on the website. This being said, the radiator I picked up works today almost two weeks later and with no issues what so ever. I would recommend this part to others.

I'm happy to help, Gary! If the oil cooler lines are not utilized in your vehicle's design you may absolutely cap the inlet and outlet. The radiator will normally have plastic caps over those fittings when shipped and they will suffice for capping the fitting unless you prefer to cap them with another means.

If the diameter of the hose is different, you can use Radiator Adapter Kits which will help you adapt your existing transmission lines to the transmission cooler (Like Spectre Magna-Kool Rubber Adaptor Kit Radiator Hose with Part No. 7810). We will need more information including the year, make, model, and engine size of your application before we can make a suggestion. Please call us at 1-877-ADVANCE (238-2623) and we would be more than happy to further assist you.

There should be a package stapled to the outside of the box the radiator came in with the correct adapters for your particular vehicle. I didn't find this right away. I suppose this package could be torn off in handling. It would be nice if this was stapled inside the box instead.
