OEM direct replacement but thinner core

Easy replacement. Even with thinner core it seems to cool my truck adequately.

I replaced a clogged radiator in a 4.3l S-10 truck (thanks DexCool!) with this unit. It is a single-row alum radiator, and it had a noticeably thicker core than the unit i was replacing. Word around is that this rad can cool even V-8 conversions. It's a direct and easy fit and has BOTH the trans cooler (not used in manual vehicles) and the engine-oil cooler (only used on V-6?).

HOWEVER: The first unit i installed had a leak at the top of the left side tank/core crimp joint. I might not have noticed if it hadn't been right on top, and that would have been even more aggravating. The second radiator seems fine, and of course i scrutinized it carefully. Some sharp edges from manufacturing, but nothing we're not used to dealing with.

              Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

There is no fitting for a drain hose. The coolant drains out the bottom of the petcock onto the radiator support so you will need a big catch pan.

ok, so i have a 94 s10 v6 with the double port injection (carb air filter with the 2 injectors, that dosnt need the engine oil cooler (there are no lines running for the oil cooler part of the radiator), but i need the trans oil cooler, thing is, every radiator i look at for my truck has that oil cooler slots, well i have a 96 radiator in it and it leaks trans fluid horribly cause the tans lines dont match up so i made them work with clamps and hoses, my problem is that i dont need the oil cooler just trans cooler spots and i cant find a radiator that dosnt have them

plug up the ports. ive bought radiators for manual trans cars that have trans coolers built in. you just buy a couple brass fittings and screw them in. done.
