Product available in stock when I needed (like now) I ordered it online and picked it up in the store and hour later. Received an online discount doing it that way. Packed well and no damage when I opened it. However to my surprise the thickness of the radiator was different than the one that was in the truck. (only about two thirds as thick) So I called the store to confirm that I received the correct radiator and he confirmed it was the bigger of the two available. I have to assume that the stock one was super heavy duty for the tow package that came on the Suburban. We don't tow much so we went for it. No problems so far. The only thing that caught me off guard a little was the oil fittings were slightly different. The stock unit had adapters and the new one didn't need them. Other than that out & in.

There is a port below the radiator cap that is used on some vehicles to connect the heater hose to. The radiator comes with a non-reinforced rubber cap on this port for vehicles like mine that don't use this port. When the system is under pressure this rubber cap will swell. After a few months the rubber cap cut on the hose clamp it was connected with. This would not have happened had there not been a not needed port or had a reinforced rubber plug been used. If you ca uses this port then your good, but if not buy from a different manufacture. I will never buy another Ready-Rad product, because they cannot be trusted with quality.

Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

Quality product and would recommend this brand. Thanks to return policy with Car Quest we got our money back to get right size. Our vehicle had more than one size from factory based on options ordered. Please read description and do not hesitate to call the Pros at Car Quest for help. Wish I did that before ordering to save a second trip to get another.

      Comments about CARQUEST Radiator:

Bought as a replacement for my 98 Yukon. It didn't have any of the usual paperwork that normally comes with a replacement radiator. And did come with four fittings that I guess were for modification if your oil and transmission coolant lines didn't match. Fortunately I didn't need any of the extra fittings, my lines fit the ports on the replacement.

A warning -- unless you tightly cap the transmission and oil lines, they WILL leak. I wrapped mine with plastic sandwich bags, but that wasn't enough. When I turned the engine over a few times to flush the system, oil and tranny fluid came out, and made a big mess.

There's also a capped port that I didn't need. I'm not real excited about having a rubber cap and clamp on an otherwise connected radiator.

                A:

I'm happy to help, Mitch! As long as this CARQUEST or ToughOne Radiator (Part No. 431333) has the correct core depth for your truck, this radiator will work in your truck. Any cooler lines that you do not need to utilize, you may cap.

Don't forget to pick up some coolant as well. Peak Conventional Green Antifreeze/Coolant (Part No. PKA0G3/12016) will work if you have green coolant. If you have the orange coolant you will need some Dex-Cool type coolant such as, Advance Auto Parts Cool Antifreeze/Coolant (Part No. A131). Your truck will take 17.6 to 19.9 quarts

Hi Daniel, I'm glad to assist you! The oil coolers are sealed tanks within the coolant tanks, you do not need to seal off the ports. If you still wish to seal off the ports the thread size is M20x1.5.
