Big improvement jumping up in amps
Tacoma still started, but testing showed diodes failed. Occasional high whining sound. Spoke with Tech Advisors saying going with higher amps for replacement is always a positive thing. Online install videos were real helpful, part was accessible with a few tricky bolts and tight removal. However, once installed and started it made noticeable improvement in high idle. Tacoma's typically idle high, but new alternator shortened it smoothing transitioning to normal idle. My son drove it 15 hours back to LA a few days later (200k on truck) and all went well! Very pleased have no reason not to expect long service from this replacement.

Not Worth the *aggravation* !
ordered alternator online to take advantage of online only discount. Removed old alternator picked up replacement alternator, returned core, bolted to engine then found rotor of new alternator locked. Returned to store, was refunded, then forced to re order the alternator in order to be able to receive online only discount and get a working replacement. I find the necessity to reorder a time wasting aggravation, when the store manager should be empowered to just get me a replacement alternator that works and is not defective, and I'm out the door without the aggravation of having to re order to be able to receive online only discount. If I was not in a big hurry to get a working alternator, I would have walked out and bought elsewhere. News flash: Customers have lots of choice about where to buy parts, it's time to trust your employees and eliminate aggravation for your customers.

I purchased the 130 amps Alternator, a great alternative to the original part. The best incentive is to have a lifetime warranty. I recommend this product!
