Carquest Premium Alternator: Remanufactured, 130 Amps, Limited Lifetime Warranty

My original alternator died on my way home from the store. i got a "check electrical charge" light. Luckily my battery had enough juice to keep my Odyssey going till I got home. I narrowed the problem down to the alternator. This was the only alternator I could buy nearby. I took a chance, watched some YouTube videos on how to do the job, removed the old alternator, and purchased this. The only issue I had was the bottom bearing was protruding not allowing me to seat it back it. I had to pull it out again, tap the bearing back into place, and it went right in. My car started and ran with no problems.

I tried to find a way to edit my first review but don't see a way to do that. Working on a 2012 Odyssey EX-L. I had it installed for a week and then got the check charging system message. With headlights and both AC's on and in Drive it dropped to 12.1 volts. The most I could get out out of it was 76amps at 12.1 volts. The card in the box showed 88 amps at 12.5v is what they are tested at. Obviously the one I got wasn't tested. I exchanged it for another one and it was even worse. After swapping out two alternators the guys at the store ordered the Denso for me. The Denso puts out nearly 100A at idle and stays at about 12.8 volts, and that's with all the loads I can turn on including seat heaters on high which even the owners manual says can discharge the battery when used. Definitely the Denso reman is the way to go. Don't bother with the Carquest.
