It's an alternator. It works.
The alternator works fine. The employee (Ryan I think his name was, might have been a manager) of the Addison Rd. store in Villa Park was very helpful and pleasant. No hassles, price was great with online coupon, I was in and out of the store and installing the alternator in minutes.

Poor fit, though the price was right
I was given this part specifically for a 2003 Honda Accord and had a repair place install it. Apparently, it was NOT a proper fit and needed some work-arounds to get it situated. Normally I would think this was the autoshop being deceptive, though I have done business with them many times before and have found them to be trustworthy. So far this alternator hasn't given me any problems, though since the alternator and battery are interlinked, if I lose one, I'll lose both and be out another $250 plus labor to fix my car. It was nice and cheap, though. Can't put a price on price.

I was relatively confident that the alternator was remanufactured well within oem specs. It installed easily and is working fine. The price was MUCH better than an oem part. As always, the 'proof-in-the-pudding' of any re-man part is the long-term durability. The warranty of this alternator is a deciding factor. Also with Advance Auto Parts locations nationwide, there is the confidence that the part will be replaced if you are out of your hometown. I was suprised that the oem Honda part (that cost almost twice as much) came with a puny 1-year warranty! A solid replacement part, good price,good warranty,and very good counter service. Win + Win..!!

Alternator is faulty. Drained my new battery. Although I can return the alternator free of charge, I have to pay someone AGAIN to put on a new alternator. So my car is out of commission at this time until I can get the mechanic to swap out the alternator. Advance Auto should test items before selling them.
