Perfect fit, easy to install, all parts included. Easy job except removing the fan blade, would have been nice to have been forewarned by the store/online/or installation instructions as to how to remove the fan. Turns out a specific tool is needed, causing another trip to borrow the right one to complete the change out.

Comments about CARQUEST New Water Pump:

So far so good and it looks to be made very well. This water pump includes all the gaskets you'll need but no RTV gasket silicone is included, which you'll need to get. Oh, and it's a good idea to pick up a new thermostat while you have the old water pump off the engine.
Helpful hint: These water pumps have no coating or paint on them and will rust very fast if not painted. So I sprayed 3-4 coats of 'clear' ceramic 500F degree engine paint over the entire water pump so it looks great like a bright, bare metal or aluminum pump but won't ever rust! Oh, and why would I (or anyone else) have chosen to buy a re-manufactured water pump over a new one just to save $20 or less? Well because I hate having to do the job over again due to being a cheap skate and buying cheap re-maned parts is why I'll always go for the new part vs. a used/re-maned part. Too me it's just not worth saving a few bucks to having to do the job over again right after you installed it.
Yes I would recommend this water pump.

Horrible product!!!!!!!!!

Comments about CARQUEST New Water Pump:

Horrible product, Installed like any other water pump and leaked coolant immediately. Press-in fittings for the heater bypass hoses are NOT sealed cause its leaking around the base. Pump feels like it has WAY to much drag to spin freely. Ill go with ACdelco pump next time. I can not believe I paid extra for a new pump and it leaks worse then my old one.

Hi Adam, glad to help you! This part comes with a limited lifetime replacement warranty. The limited lifetime warranty part can be refunded for cash/credit within the 90 days time frame. • A:

I just bought this water pump T3131, It says Assembled in USA of U.S. and foreign materials. I typed in the number below T3131 which is 130-1820 and did a google image search and all GMB water pumps came up, sooo, looks like this is a GMB water pump with Toughone name on it. I looked up the Toughone address off the box which is 5008 Airport Road, Roanoke, VA, and that is owned by Advance Auto, so looks like Advance puts their name (tough one) on GMB water pumps. I don't know where the last answer got ASC from.

the fan and the fan clutch come off together as one piece

Answered on 2/18/2010 by head from n.y.
    • A:

You don't have to remove the fan clutch, you need a big adjustable wrench or a 1 7/16 open end wrench to remove the big nut on the back of the clutch that holds the fan/clutch assembly on. The belt will slip, so you either need a long rod to brace one of the pulley bolts on, or a pry bar to hold the pulley while you break the big nut loose.
