installed these on a 2001 subaru outback 2.5l 5/speed. fit great and solved the front end issues i had. no core return on these so i have 2 junk half shafts laying in the garage. To save yourself alot of time pick up a set of long punches to remove and install pins at the splines. check out this video if your unsure where to start. He post some very good videos and explains the process well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjM6rTVre-0

A local shop uses these and installed two on my Subaru legacy. One was bad right out of the box and had to be replaced, the other lasted five months. The replacement for the one replaced right out of the box also lasted five months. I just had both replaced again and one is bad right out of the box. Half these things click and pop on tight turns right out of the box and the others don't last on Subarus. Next time, I'm buying OEM and figuring out how to change them myself.

Oh, and I was told these have a lifetime warranty. According to the manager at Advance, lifetime on these means they will replace them one time in your life. And that's it.

Perfect fit and included new capture nut and new roll pin. Best thing was the low price and NO CORE fee for a brand new CV Axle. No Idea how long it will last but for a car with 190K miles on it...Im sure it will last 2-3 years...maybe longer.

                • Q:

I just bought this axle for a 99 subaru forester for the front driver's side. When I removed the original axle it didn't have a sprocket on the outboard joint. Upon inspection my abs sensor works via the teeth on the backside of the rotor. I'm concerned about installing this new axle because of interference with the abs sprocket and the hub. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks.
