Comments about CARQUEST Clutch New Clutch Set:

I got this clutch set for my 2001 FORD FOCUS ZX3 equipped with MTX75 transmission. It was a great replacement and it was affordable also had the online discount! I would have liked to install it myself but it is very difficult to do so and i dont have all the tools required, so i had my mechanic do it. Its not a performance part but it is designed to be a replacement to meet EOM specs and it gets the job done well also my mechanic did a great job installing it. As you can tell i'm happy with it.

Comments about CARQUEST Clutch New Clutch Set:

I will admit that I bought this kit mainly since it was cheaper than the OEM parts or other aftermarket kits. Sadly upon opening the box every component is "[*]". I should have expected that but it makes me leery of its long term reliability. The installation is going to be the same as any other Ford Focus clutch install, it's a tough job. Just factor in the extra costs for resurfacing your flywheel, new flywheel bolts, and a new clutch master cylinder. The pedal pressure is comparable to the original OEM clutch. So far it is operating fine during the break in period. Honestly since the Focus MTX75 is such a pain to get in and out, I did not risk using the "[*]" slave cylinder. I opted to use an actual OEM slave along with the pressure plate and disk from this kit.

Comments about CARQUEST Clutch New Clutch Set:

Had this kit installed at dealership along with fly wheel, and thermostat with housing, spent 900 buck just for labor. slave cylinder started leaking weeks later to complete failure in less then a year. Warranty did NOT cover the shop cost due to product failure, so now I have to come out of pocket for the $800+ to replace a replacement part since the commercial customer didn't order it, even thought they installed it and advance delivered it to them. This is extremely poor service on advance auto parts behalf. they are replacing the kit at no cost but not picking up the tab for the labor. BUYER BEWARE.

Comments about CARQUEST Clutch New Clutch Set:

After 3000 miles slave is going bad and leaking. Should have kept original Ford unit with 170,000 as it certainly would have lasted longer.
