      I'm glad to assist, CJ! This Perfection Clutch New Clutch Set (Part No. MU72171-1) is engineered to fit a 2005-2007 Chevrolet Cobalt with the 2.2L L4 and 2.4L L4 with the Getrag F23 transmission. The Getrag F23 transmission was rated to handle 167 lf-ft of engine torque and 170 lb-ft of gearbox torque. The engines that were paired with this transmission are capable of 155 lb-ft and 163 lb-ft of torque respectively. This clutch is engineered to handle the stock torque output of the engine plus minor modifications that could increase horsepower and torque.

      From other owners that have made modifcations to their vehicles, they recommend not exceeding 250 lb-ft of torque on the standard manual transmission. Keep in mind that while the additional torque may not immediately cause failure of transmission parts, it may reduce the life of the parts. The use of these parts in a vehicle that produces more than stock torque may void the warranty as well. Please see the warranty details here:
