The belt as ordered online as an 'exact fit' didn't fit. When I went to the local Advance store for an exchange, I had to pay an additional $10 for the next belt. The exchange process was long & confusing.

That belt also didn't fit.

I contacted phone customer service. Although nice, they gave me a model number belt that also didn't fit.

When I finally got an in-store agent who knew his stuff (Josh) he initially said I had to pay yet another $10 for the correct belt, before deciphering the paperwork.

Long & time-consuming experience. Especially for a belt that takes two minutes to R & R.

Compare the replacement to the original! The recommended size was too short and I had to return for the longer. Draw a picture of your belt route before removing. Good luck!

The belt is about a half inch shorter than the OEM. This may not sound like much, but it makes it almost impossible to install. I will order the Motorcraft (or at least another brand that is the correct length) next time.

Comments about CARQUEST by Dayco Poly Rib Belt, Premium:

Bought this and installed it 6 months ago. was much quieter than my old belt. However, it recently started making a squeeling noise when it was cold. About 2 days later, the belt literally came off the pulleys while i was idling in my driveway. There is seemingly nothing wrong with the belt after inspection. So i was perplexed.

However, after reading other reviews, learning that the belt is 1/2" shorter than the OEM belt would seem to clear the confusion. Guess i'll go get one from Ford.

Comments about CARQUEST by Dayco Poly Rib Belt, Premium:

The belt is, indeed, about one half to three quarters of an inch shorter than OEM. For me, this made installation impossible. I put my wrench on the belt tensioner and turned it as far as it would go. No dice, belt is too short. Had to return the belt and purchase the cheaper Drive-Rite belt. Did everything else exactly the same and that one fit like a charm.
