Comments about CARQUEST Alternator - New - 136 Amps:

this alternator is an exact fit replacement for a dodge cummins diesel remove the air box with bolts seen i thought the air box was bolted to the battery tray but its not just pull up on air box after removing bolts it is attached to battery tray on the bottom of air box with rubber groments so just pull up and its out , since i was alone doing this i used a half inch breaker bar for the tenshioner from the bottom of truck the breaker bar has a hole in the handle so when i slacked the tensioner i put a long phillips screwdriver in the hole to hold it while i climbed up top and removed the belt hope these tips help someone also before doing alternator check positve battery cable on both batteries mine was corroded on the inside and actually my alternator was not bad
